Job Functions: Insurance Clerk
Attend to telephonic, written and verbal enquiries from clients, branches and other departments in
respect of claims against policies
Investigate and initiate the claims process, according to the claims procedure by preparing
documentation including electronic quotations relevant to the claim
Compile cheque requisitions and write backs for processing to the finance section
Handle complex enquiries from client, branches and other departments
Adjusting of policy details as per level of authority
Compile daily statistics of finalised claims and perform ad-hoc duties as requested by the line manager
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
2 – 3 Years experience in life insurance or dealing with death claims.
SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION:
Excellent communication skills.
Good interpersonal skills.
Client service orientated.
Ability to work under pressure and still be effective.
Effective planning and time management skills.
